Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Mix until well combined, then form into six patties.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked to 160°F. Keep warm in the oven at 300°F.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add butter. Once melted, whisk in flour and spices to create a roux.
  4. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously until thickened.
  5. Return the browned patties to the skillet, spooning gravy over them. Simmer for 2-3 minutes before serving over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
