Ingredients
  

For the Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Butter divided
  • 1 pound Ground Sirloin can substitute with turkey or chicken
  • 1 Onion finely diced
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 2 cups Canned Tomatoes diced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces Pasta (Spaghetti or Rotini)

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over low heat. Add onion and sweat gently for 3 to 5 minutes until translucent.
  2. Increase heat to medium-high and add ground sirloin, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes and chopped celery. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in remaining butter. Adjust seasoning.
  5. Cook pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Drain pasta and add to the sauce, tossing to combine. Add reserved pasta water if needed. Serve hot.
