Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice your cabbage into thick ½ inch rounds and brush each piece with olive oil.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and add egg if using.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into patties and place each on a cabbage slice.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes or until the meat reaches 160°F (71°C) and the cabbage is tender.
  6. If desired, sprinkle cheese over the patties, switch the oven to broil, and broil for 3-5 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven, let rest, and serve with your favorite sides.
