  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be used
For the Sandwich
  • 4 slices Sourdough Bread Aim for ½ inch thick slices
  • 1 cup Shredded White Cheddar Any mild cheese can be used
  • 1 cup Shredded Gouda Substitute with any cheese with good melting properties

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the butter, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder until well combined.
  2. Spread the butter mixture on one side of each sourdough slice. Layer one side with shredded gouda and white cheddar cheese.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and place the sandwich in the skillet. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes until bread is toasted and cheese starts to melt.
  4. Carefully flip the sandwich, press down gently, and cook uncovered for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from skillet, let it rest for a minute, then slice in half and serve immediately.
