- Prepare the Meat Sauce: Heat olive oil in a skillet, brown ground beef and Italian sausage. Stir in onion and garlic, add tomatoes, sauce, paste, seasonings, and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
- Cook the Noodles: Bring salted water to a boil, cook lasagna noodles until al dente, drain and lay flat to avoid sticking.
- Make the Cheese Filling: Combine ricotta, egg, Parmesan, mozzarella, and seasonings in a bowl until creamy.
- Assemble the Lasagna: Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish, add 3 noodles, half of the cheese filling, repeat layers, ending with meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 35 minutes, uncover and bake for another 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Rest and Serve: Let the lasagna rest for 15 minutes before slicing, garnish with parsley if desired.
