Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 cup of diced onion and 1 diced green bell pepper to the pot, stirring occasionally until softened and translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Add 2 pounds of lean ground beef and 3 teaspoons of minced garlic to the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking the beef apart until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in 2 cans of tomato sauce, 2 cans of petite diced tomatoes, and 3 cups of beef broth. Add 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 2 teaspoons of seasoned salt, and 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning. Toss in 3 bay leaves before simmering for about 5 minutes.
  4. Once simmering, add 2 cups of uncooked macaroni noodles to the pot. Stir well, cover, and let it cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and fold in 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese until completely melted. Discard bay leaves before serving.
