Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1 teaspoon of seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
  3. Fold in ½ cup diced bell peppers, ½ cup bread crumbs, and 1 beaten egg, mixing gently to keep the patties tender. Form into donut-shaped patties.
  4. Place the patties in the hot skillet, cooking them for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Remove the browned patties from the skillet and set them aside on a plate to rest.
  6. In the same skillet, add 2 cups of water and the brown gravy mix, stirring well and simmering for about 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and return the hamburger steak patties to the skillet, simmering on low for an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Serve the Hamburger Steak over mashed potatoes or rice and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
