Ingredients
Scale
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 slices Swiss cheese
4 burger buns
1 tbsp olive oil
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
Prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Cook the mushrooms. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned and tender. Stir in the garlic and Worcestershire sauce, then season with salt and pepper. Cook for another minute and set aside.
Season the beef. Combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Divide into four equal portions and shape into patties.
Cook the patties. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the centers reach 160°F.
Melt the cheese. Place one slice of Swiss cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover the skillet briefly to help the cheese melt.
Toast the buns. Lightly toast the burger buns in a skillet until golden.
Assemble the burgers. Spread the creamy sauce on the bottom buns. Add the cheesy beef patties, pile on the sautéed mushrooms, and cover with the top buns.
Serve. Enjoy immediately with crispy fries, onion rings, or a fresh side salad.
Notes
Use baby bella mushrooms for a deeper, richer flavor.
Let the mushrooms brown before stirring too often to develop a savory crust.
Use freshly sliced Swiss cheese for the best melt.
For extra flavor, add caramelized onions or a little extra Worcestershire sauce to the mushrooms.
