Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and half of the chopped green onions. Mix until well combined.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using your hands, form the beef mixture into small bite-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on the outside.
While the beef bites are baking, prepare the gochujang dipping sauce by whisking together the gochujang, rice vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl until smooth.
Once the beef bites are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, garnished with the remaining green onions and sesame seeds if desired, alongside the dipping sauce.
Notes
For a milder flavor, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes or use a sweet chili sauce instead of gochujang.
You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option while maintaining the flavor profile.
