Ingredients
Scale
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cream of chicken soup
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
In a separate bowl, mix together the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, dried parsley, and paprika until well combined.
Once the chicken is browned, pour the sour cream mixture over the chicken in the skillet, ensuring each piece is well coated.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the seasoning for a few hours or overnight.
You can substitute the cheddar cheese with mozzarella or pepper jack for a different taste.
For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
