Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef, preferably 80% lean and 20% fat
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened, for toasting the buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves, optional
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced, optional
  • ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced, optional
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped crispy bacon
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice, optional
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon: Place the bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat. Cook for 6–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  2. Prepare the Bacon Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and chopped crispy bacon. Add pickle juice if desired. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate.
  3. Season the Beef: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and divide into four equal portions, shaping into patties.
  4. Prepare the Jalapeños: Wash and slice jalapeños into thin rounds. Set aside.
  5. Cook the Burger Patties: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  6. Melt the Smoked Cheddar: In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of smoked cheddar on each patty and cover briefly until melted.
  7. Toast the Burger Buns: Spread butter on the cut sides of the brioche buns and toast in a skillet or on the grill for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Assemble the Burgers: Spread bacon burger sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Add lettuce, tomato, cheesy beef patty, crispy bacon, and jalapeños. Top with more sauce and the top bun.
  9. Serve Immediately: Serve the burgers hot with extra bacon burger sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For a milder burger, remove the seeds from the jalapeños.
  • Adjust cooking time based on patty thickness and cooking method.
  • Pair with crispy French fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
