- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1/4 cup canned crab meat, drained
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a small bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. While the skillet is heating, spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet. Layer half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top.
- Spoon the seafood mixture evenly over the cheese layer, then top with the remaining cheese.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, butter side up. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the seafood mixture.
- Try using different types of cheese, such as pepper jack or gouda, for a unique flavor twist.
