Ingredients
Scale
1 pound cooked brisket, shredded
1 cup barbecue sauce
4 hoagie rolls
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a medium bowl, combine the shredded brisket and barbecue sauce. Mix well until the brisket is evenly coated.
Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Drizzle the cut sides of the rolls with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Evenly distribute the BBQ brisket mixture onto the hoagie rolls.
Top each sandwich with shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the brisket mixture.
Swap out the cheddar cheese for pepper jack or mozzarella for a different flavor profile.
