Ingredients
Scale
1 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon butter
1 small onion, finely diced
1 small green bell pepper, finely diced
4 oz mushrooms, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 tablespoon melted butter
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Set oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the beef: Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking up the beef, until browned and the vegetables are tender.
Season: Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Cook for another 1 minute. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Prepare the dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
Fill: Place a spoonful of the beef mixture near the wide end of each triangle. Sprinkle with shredded provolone.
Roll: Roll each crescent from the wide end toward the tip, tucking in the filling as you go. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Top: Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve: Let cool for a few minutes before serving. These are especially good with a side of provolone cheese sauce or au jus for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding some hot sauce to the beef mixture.
These rolls can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce for added taste.
