A delicious and crispy Parmesan Crusted Chicken topped with crumbled bacon, perfect for a flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound total)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian seasoned)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs until well combined.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, coat the chicken in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it adheres well.
  5. Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil over the top of the chicken for added flavor and crispiness.
  6. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly over the chicken breasts.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try marinating the chicken in Italian dressing for 30 minutes before breading.
  • You can also substitute the bacon with cooked prosciutto for a different twist.
