Ingredients
Scale
1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
2 cups broccoli florets
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, cooking for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and brown sugar, mixing well to combine.
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the sauce. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Pour this mixture into the skillet, stirring until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Drizzle with sesame oil and remove from heat. Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
You can substitute chicken or tofu for the beef for a different protein option.
If you prefer a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
