- 1 can (5 ounces) tuna in water, drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups mixed greens (for serving)
- 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (for garnish)
- 1/4 cup cucumber, diced (for garnish)
- In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard. Mix well until smooth.
- Add the chopped celery, red onion, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. If you prefer a creamier salad, add more mayonnaise.
- Chill the tuna salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- To serve, place a generous scoop of the tuna salad over a bed of mixed greens. Garnish with cherry tomatoes and diced cucumber.
Notes
- For added crunch, mix in some chopped pickles or relish.
- Substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mayonnaise for a lighter version.
