Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup ketchup
1 large egg

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped mushrooms, shredded Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, 1/4 cup ketchup, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
Spread the additional 1/2 cup of ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
Add chopped fresh herbs like parsley or basil for extra flavor and freshness.
