Ingredients

Scale
  • 600 g ground beef, preferably 80/20
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crispy
  • 2 tbsp butter, for toasting buns
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 120 g mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped pickles
  • 1 tsp pickle juice
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional Toppings: Lettuce, Tomato slices, Pickles, Thinly sliced red onion, Extra crispy bacon, Jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, ranch seasoning, chopped pickles, pickle juice, garlic powder, and black pepper. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Season the Beef: Combine the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, parsley, dill, black pepper, and salt. Divide the ground beef into 4 portions, about 150 g each. Gently shape into thick patties. Don’t overwork the meat. Season both sides generously.
  3. Toast the Buns: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Spread butter on the cut sides of the buns and toast for 1–2 minutes, until golden. Set aside.
  4. Cook the Burgers: Heat the skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the beef patties on the hot surface. Cook for about 3–4 minutes on the first side. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes. For extra cheesy burgers, place one slice of cheddar and one slice of American cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover briefly so the cheese melts completely. Cook ground beef to a safe internal temperature of 71°C.
  5. Assemble: Spread the creamy crack sauce generously over both sides of the toasted buns. Place the cheesy burger patty on the bottom bun. Top with crispy bacon, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, or jalapeños. Add another spoonful of sauce and finish with the top bun.

Notes

  • For an even juicier burger, don’t press down on the patties while cooking.
  • For the ultimate cheesy version, use American cheese + sharp cheddar together.
