Ingredients
Scale
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a bowl, season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one shallow dish, beat the eggs in a second dish, and place the panko breadcrumbs in a third dish.
Dredge each chicken thigh in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken thighs in batches, cooking for about 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In a small saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Heat over low until warmed and well mixed.
Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the fried chicken thighs and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more hot sauce to the honey mixture or use a hotter variety of hot sauce.
Substitute chicken breasts for thighs if you prefer a leaner cut of meat. Adjust cooking time as needed to ensure they are fully cooked.
