Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6-ounce) cod fillets
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Set aside.
  2. Season both sides of the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted and hot.
  4. Add the cod fillets to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  5. Carefully flip the fillets and pour the honey garlic mixture over the top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting the fish with the sauce as it cooks.
  6. Once the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, remove from heat.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the honey garlic mixture.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables or over a bed of rice for a complete meal.
