Ingredients
Scale
4 swordfish steaks (about 6 ounces each)
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons lemon zest
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
Place the swordfish steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat on the stovetop.
Remove the swordfish from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Transfer the grilled swordfish to a serving platter and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, try marinating the swordfish with fresh herbs like basil or cilantro instead of dried herbs.
Serve the grilled swordfish with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
