- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the sour cream, milk, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute until smooth.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the Alfredo sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, crumbled bacon, and garlic powder over the sauce.
- Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
- Cut the log into 1-inch thick pieces and twist each piece to form a spiral.
- Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the twists.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier twist, add red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce.
