Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the sour cream, milk, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute until smooth.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Spread the Alfredo sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, crumbled bacon, and garlic powder over the sauce.
  8. Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
  9. Cut the log into 1-inch thick pieces and twist each piece to form a spiral.
  10. Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter.
  11. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the twists.
  12. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  13. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier twist, add red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce.
  • You can also substitute the bacon with cooked sausage or diced chicken for a different flavor.
