Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
4 slices American cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
4 lettuce leaves
4 slices tomato
4 slices pickles
4 hamburger buns (optional)
Instructions
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.
Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burgers reach your desired doneness.
If using hamburger buns, toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster while the burgers are cooking.
Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun (if using) and topping with lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the toppings.
Try using different types of cheese, such as cheddar or pepper jack, for a unique flavor.
