Ingredients
Scale
8 large jalapeno peppers
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
16 slices of bacon
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat, if desired.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well blended.
Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
Cut each slice of bacon in half. Wrap each filled jalapeno half with a piece of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
Place the wrapped jalapenos on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, leave some seeds in the jalapenos or add diced jalapenos to the cheese mixture.
Try using different types of cheese, such as pepper jack or feta, for a unique flavor twist.
