Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces pancetta or bacon, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (9 ounces) refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and diced pancetta or bacon. Cook until the meat is crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  4. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with black pepper and salt.
  5. In a separate pot, cook the cheese ravioli according to package instructions. Drain and add to the skillet with the sauce.
  6. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and use turkey bacon instead of pancetta.
  • You can also add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
