Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp and Fish Skillet made easy!

This creamy seafood skillet is rich, cozy, and easy enough for a weeknight while still feeling special.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets, cut into large pieces
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or seafood broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the fish and shrimp dry. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Add the fish pieces and sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden. Remove gently and set aside.
  4. Add the shrimp to the same skillet and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  5. Lower the heat to medium. Add the butter and garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  7. Add the Parmesan and lemon juice. Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  8. Return the fish and shrimp to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the seafood and simmer for 2 minutes until heated through.
  9. Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm with rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 2 days.
