Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Add the broccoli florets during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional minute to combine the flavors.
Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream to the skillet. Stir until the mixture is well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the cooked spaghetti and broccoli to the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the creamy sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat everything together.
Preheat your oven broiler. Transfer the spaghetti mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
Broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey for the beef and use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
Add some diced bell peppers or mushrooms for extra veggies and flavor.
