A delicious and cheesy recipe for cauliflower steaks that are perfect as a side dish or a main course.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem, keeping the head intact. Slice the cauliflower into 1-inch thick steaks. You should get about 4-6 steaks.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with the olive oil mixture.
  5. Place the cauliflower steaks on the prepared baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the cheddar and Parmesan cheese evenly over the cauliflower steaks.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the olive oil mixture.
  • Experiment with different cheeses like mozzarella or gouda for a unique flavor twist.
