- 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
- In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
- Place the pork chops in the prepared baking dish. Spread the brown sugar mixture generously over both sides of the chops.
- Dot the tops with butter.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, depending on thickness, until the pork reaches 145°F in the center.
- Spoon some of the pan juices over the pork chops and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a more caramelized glaze, broil the pork chops for 1–2 minutes at the end, watching closely so the brown sugar doesn’t burn.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, rice, or green beans.
