- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, optional
- Mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, and 1/4 cup water in a small bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tbsp water to make a slurry.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and cook for another 3–4 minutes, until tender and lightly browned.
- Add the garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the sauce and toss everything together.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1–2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the vegetables.
- Add the green onions and black pepper.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve hot over steamed rice.

- For a vegan option, substitute oyster sauce with a plant-based alternative.
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey or brown sugar.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
