Ingredients
Scale
1 lb beef tenderloin
1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt, or to taste
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
Toast for 6–8 minutes, flipping once, until crisp and golden.
Pat the beef tenderloin dry. Rub with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tenderloin for 2–3 minutes per side, then cook to your preferred doneness. For food safety, whole cuts of beef should reach at least 145°F and rest for 3 minutes.
Transfer the beef to a cutting board and rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing very thinly.
For the sauce, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Pour in the heavy cream and simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and gradually whisk in Parmesan until smooth and creamy. Season with pepper and salt.
Place a slice of beef on each toasted baguette. Spoon a little Parmesan cream sauce over the top.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
For an elegant finishing touch, add a few drops of balsamic glaze over each crostini.
