Ingredients
Scale
1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
½ cup BBQ sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 ½ lbs frozen French fries
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp salt
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, sliced
¼ cup diced red onion
Extra BBQ sauce
Ranch dressing, optional
Instructions
Season the chicken: Combine chicken with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook the chicken: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, brushing generously with BBQ sauce during the final few minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Rest and slice: Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice into strips or bite-sized pieces.
Prepare the fries: Toss frozen fries with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Bake or air-fry according to the package directions until golden and crispy.
Build the plate: Arrange the crispy fries on a large plate. Top with sliced BBQ chicken and shredded cheddar cheese.
Finish: Drizzle with extra BBQ sauce and ranch, if desired. Sprinkle with green onions and diced red onion.
Serve: Enjoy immediately while the fries are hot and the cheese is melted.
Notes
