- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 medium onion, sliced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, beef broth, cornstarch, and black pepper.
- Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tbsp oil. Stir-fry the onion, bell pepper, broccoli, ginger, and garlic for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
- Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot over steamed rice.

- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the stir-fry.
