Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds chicken tenders
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Arrange the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches.
Air fry the chicken tenders for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
While the chicken is cooking, prepare the honey butter garlic sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the melted butter, honey, and minced garlic. Stir until well mixed and heated through.
Once the chicken tenders are done, remove them from the air fryer and drizzle the honey butter garlic sauce over them. Toss gently to coat.
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
Substitute the honey with maple syrup for a different flavor profile.
