Voodoo Fries are a spicy and flavorful twist on traditional fries, topped with cheese, bacon, and served with ranch dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin fries.
  3. Soak the fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove the fries from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions.
  10. Serve hot with ranch dressing on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce on top before serving.
  • You can also substitute the ranch dressing with blue cheese dressing for a different taste.
