- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the shredded mozzarella cheese and stir until evenly distributed.
- Pour in the milk and melted butter, mixing until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Twist each strip a few times and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the twisted breadsticks with grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a cheesy variation, try adding a sprinkle of your favorite herbs or spices to the dough before baking.
- These breadsticks can be served with marinara sauce for dipping to enhance the flavor.
