1 lb smoked brisket, shredded
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp black pepper
1–2 jalapeños, finely diced (optional but traditional)
12–14 egg roll wrappers
Water (for sealing)
Oil for frying
Honey, for serving
Instructions
In a bowl, mix brisket, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and jalapeños until well combined.
Place 2–3 tablespoons of filling in the center of each wrapper.
Fold bottom corner over filling, fold in sides, roll tightly, and seal edge with water.
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry egg rolls in batches for 3–4 minutes, turning until golden brown and crispy.
Drain on paper towels.
Drizzle with honey or serve honey on the side for dipping.
Notes
For extra heat, leave the seeds in the jalapeños.
Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
These egg rolls can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
