  • 2 cups frozen tater tots
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the cooked sausage evenly across the bottom.
  5. Layer the frozen tater tots on top of the sausage, arranging them in a single layer.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the tater tots and sausage.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
