A vibrant and spicy hot sauce made with fresh pineapple and habanero peppers, perfect for igniting your taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 46 habanero peppers, stems removed (adjust for heat preference)
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the chopped pineapple, habanero peppers, white vinegar, lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and honey (if using).
  2. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or honey to balance the heat and acidity.
  4. Pour the blended mixture into a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. This helps to meld the flavors together.
  6. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool slightly before transferring it to a clean glass jar or bottle.
  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. For best flavor, let it chill for at least 24 hours before using.

Notes

  • For a milder sauce, remove the seeds and membranes from the habanero peppers before blending.
  • Try adding a handful of cilantro or a teaspoon of smoked paprika for an extra layer of flavor.
