Ingredients
Scale
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup cold water
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the chilled butter and mix with a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the granulated sugar.
Gradually add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut out circles using a 4-inch round cutter.
Place half of the circles on the prepared baking sheet. On each circle, layer a tablespoon of chocolate chips, a tablespoon of mini marshmallows, and a teaspoon of graham cracker crumbs.
Top each filled circle with another dough circle and seal the edges by crimping with a fork. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.
Notes
For a twist, add a tablespoon of peanut butter or Nutella along with the chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
Experiment with flavored chocolate chips, such as mint or caramel, to create unique hand pies.
