Delicious slow-cooked pork chops with a sweet and tangy Asian-inspired sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds bone-in pork chops
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  2. Place the pork chops in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over them, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pork chops are tender and fully cooked.
  4. Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the slow cooker and let them rest for a few minutes.
  5. If desired, you can thicken the sauce by transferring it to a saucepan and simmering it over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until it reduces.
  6. Serve the pork chops drizzled with the sauce, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha to the sauce.
  • To make it a complete meal, serve the pork chops over steamed rice or quinoa, and add a side of stir-fried vegetables.
