Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them in the slow cooker.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together barbecue sauce, crushed pineapple, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Pour the pineapple BBQ sauce over the meatballs in the slow cooker, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through and tender.
  6. Serve the meatballs warm, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, substitute half of the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
  • Serve the meatballs over rice or in slider buns for a fun twist.
