Savory Herb-Crusted Pork Chops are a flavorful delight, featuring tender pork chops seasoned with a blend of herbs and spices, seared to perfection and finished in the oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick, 8 ounces each)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, and lemon zest.
  4. Rub the herb mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
  5. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven, drizzle the pork chops with lemon juice, and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the pork chops in the herb mixture for 1-2 hours before cooking.
  • Try substituting the herbs with your favorites, such as sage or oregano, for a different taste profile.
