A delightful and festive jam made with a mix of strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 2 cups raspberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin (like Sure-Jell)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
  2. Add the sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and vanilla extract to the fruit mixture. Stir well to combine.
  3. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the fruit to release its juices.
  4. Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently.
  5. Once boiling, stir in the fruit pectin and continue to boil for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly until the jam thickens.
  6. Remove the pot from heat and skim off any foam that forms on the surface.
  7. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace at the top.
  8. Seal the jars with lids and let them cool to room temperature.
  9. Once cooled, refrigerate the jam for at least 24 hours before using to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of ginger to the mixture.
  • Substitute the berries with other fruits like peaches or apricots for a different flavor profile.
