Peach Jalapeño Jam is a delightful blend of sweet peaches and spicy jalapeños, perfect for spreading on toast or using as a glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin (such as Sure-Jell)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the diced peaches, jalapeños, sugar, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to bubble.
  3. Once bubbling, bring the mixture to a rolling boil and stir in the fruit pectin. Boil for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly until the jam thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and let the jam cool for about 5 minutes. Skim off any foam that forms on the surface.
  5. Pour the jam into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace. Seal the jars with lids and allow them to cool completely at room temperature.
  6. Once cooled, refrigerate the jam for at least 24 hours before using to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a spicier jam, leave some seeds in the jalapeños or add more jalapeños to taste.
  • Substitute half of the peaches with another fruit, such as mango or pineapple, for a unique flavor twist.
