A delicious and easy recipe for pan-fried garlic mushrooms with rosemary and Parmesan, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (such as cremini or button)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the mushrooms. Toss gently to combine.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when cooking the garlic.
  • Substitute the Parmesan cheese with feta or goat cheese for a different flavor profile.
