Ingredients
Scale
1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 (9-ounce) package cheese tortellini
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
2 cups baby spinach
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak pieces with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In the skillet, add the cherry tomatoes and spinach. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the spinach is wilted and the tomatoes are softened.
Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet, stirring until the butter is melted. Then, add the Worcestershire sauce and stir to combine.
Return the cooked steak and tortellini to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the cowboy butter sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes when cooking the steak.
Substitute the steak with grilled chicken or shrimp for a different protein option.
