- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through.
- Place the cooked patties on a baking sheet. Spoon marinara sauce over each patty, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Toast the hamburger buns in the oven for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking time.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each cheesy patty on a toasted bun. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the beef mixture or use spicy marinara sauce.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option, and consider adding sliced pepperoni on top for extra flavor.
