Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 large pieces of aluminum foil (about 12x12 inches)
Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sliced mushrooms, shredded Swiss cheese, sliced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Divide the mixture evenly among the four pieces of aluminum foil.
Fold the edges of the foil to create a sealed packet, ensuring there are no openings for juices to escape.
Place the foil packets on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.
Carefully remove the packets from the grill and let them sit for a few minutes before opening. Be cautious of steam when unwrapping.
Serve the burgers directly from the foil packets or on toasted buns, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a smoky flavor, add a few drops of liquid smoke to the beef mixture.
You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
Consider adding your favorite burger toppings like lettuce, tomato, or pickles after cooking for extra flavor and crunch.
